SOUND CONTROL MATS

Acousti-Mat® Sound Control Systems put an end to noise complaints – even with ceramic and wood floors. Acousti-Mat’s entangled filaments create a void area between the subfloor and Maxxon® underlayments. Acousti-Mat® LPR, Acousti-Mat® II, Enkasonic®, and Acousti-Mat® 3 are made with 40% pre-consumer recycled content. Acousti-Mat LP is the thinnest, fastest way to quiet floors.

Sound Control Products

Acousti-Mat® Ilogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

The new economical solution for both new floors and retrofit where floor height is a concern.  Acousti-Mat I maintains a low 1/8” (3 mm) profile and requires only a ¾” Maxxon underlayment pour depth, while increasing STC up to 12 points when compared to a bare wood frame system.  Acousti-Mat I is always a “green” building material with 40% pre-consumer recycled content and is GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

Acousti-Mat® IIlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

The low-profile sound control system. Increases IIC levels up to 10 points over wood frame, and up to 20 points over concrete. Increases STC rating 6-15 points over bare wood frame system. A breakthrough in sound control technology, Acousti‑Mat® II is the cost-effective solution to “noise” complaints, even with ceramic and wood floors

Acousti-Mat II is always “Green” with 40% pre-consumer recycled content. It also has water resistant fabric.

Acousti-Mat® II HPlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

A breakthrough in sound control, Acousti-Mat® II HP takes the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat’s floating floor technology and adds an additional layer of noise control. An acoustical fabric is laminated to the
bottom of Acousti-Mat’s core of fused entangled polymeric filaments, attached to a non-woven, water-resistant fabric, and then topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.
Acousti-Mat II HP increases the acoustical performance of a wood floor/ceiling assembly by up to 16 IIC points. With a nominal 5/16″ height, the mat requires only a 1″ topping. Considered a “green” building material, the core of Acousti-Mat II HP is composed of 40% pre-consumer recycled content.

Enkasoniclogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

Enkasonic® creates sound-rated floors with the high IIC and STC level required by IBC 2009 and FHA for luxury developments.  It is a durable and proven solution – the only mat that has been tested after 10 years of use. (Enkasonic retained 97% of original thickness, was as pliable as a new roll, and performed equally to a newly manufactured roll.) It increases IIC levels up to 12 points over wood frame, and up to 20 points over concrete. It also increases the STC rating 6-15 points over a bare wood frame system.

Enkasonic is always “Green” with 40% pre-consumer recycled content. It is also offered with optional water resistant fabric.

Enkasonic HPlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

The original sound control mat just got better. Enkasonic® HP provides added impact noise control with an added layer of high performance acoustical fabric. The HP layer is laminated to the bottom of a core of fused entangled polymeric filaments, which is attached to a non-woven, water resistant fabric. To complete the Maxxon engineered sound control system, Enkasonic HP is topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.

Enkasonic HP increases the IIC levels of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 19 points over wood frame construction and up to 25 points over concrete construction. Enkasonic HP is an approximate 3/8″ thick mat and requires only a 1″ topping. Considered a “green” building material, Enkasonic HP is composed of 40% pre-consumer recycled content. For thinner pours, an approved reinforcement may be used to reduce the underlayment depth to 3/4″ minimum.

Acousti-Mat® 3logo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

Acousti-Mat® 3 is the sound deadening solution for floor systems that have been impossible to control! Now you can put an end to those “noise” complaints – even with open beam, concrete slab and conventional wood frame systems.

Acousti‑Mat 3 consists of fused, entangled filaments attached to a non-woven fabric, similar to Maxxon’s Acousti‑Mat II, only three times thicker. It’s a proven fact that the larger the air space, the greater the sound control – and this system creates the largest air void of any sound control mat. Acousti-Mat 3 increases IIC levels up to 17 points over wood frame, and up to 25 rating points (or more) over concrete. It also increases the STC rating 6-15 points over a bare wood frame system.

Acousti-Mat® 3logo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

For challenging floors, like those found in warehouse-to-multifamily conversion projects, only the best will do. Acousti-Mat® 3 HP delivers top quality noise reduction by combining the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat’s floating floor technology with an added layer of isolation. The HP layer of acoustical fabric is laminated to the bottom of a core of fused entangled filaments, which is attached to a non-woven, water-resistant fabric. Acousti-Mat 3 HP is then topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.

Acousti-Mat 3 HP increases the IIC levels of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 22 points over wood frame construction and up to 30 in concrete construction. At a height of 0.75″ and requiring only a 1-1⁄2″ reinforced topping, Acousti-Mat 3 HP provides ultimate sound control without significantly increasing the overall floor height. It is considered a “green” building material, containing 40% recycled content. The entire
system is covered by one warranty and is also GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

Acousti-Mat® SDlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

For proven, superior sound control in steel frame construction, Acousti-Mat SD delivers the patented technology that meets the challenge. Designed to fit the flutes of 9/16″, 2-1/2″ o.c., 22 gauge corrugated steel decking, the Acousti-Mat SD System isolates sound waves that historically have been difficult to control.

Fast, easy installation of Acousti-Mat SD is completed with the topping of a high-strength Maxxon®Underlayment. No longer limited to “quiet” carpet and pad alone, Acousti-Mat SD opens projects to any floor good option, from wood to stone to ceramic tile, without the associated sound transmission concerns.

Acousti-Mat LPlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

Acousti-Mat® LP is a unique blend of polymeric fibers of various shapes and sizes.  The blend of these fibers is a proprietary mix designed to provide excellent reductions in sound transmission and sound reflection.  The mat is bound together through a blend of polymer adhesives, which provide a tough durable mat with water repellant features.

Acousti‑Mat LP can be attached to a concrete subfloor, then topped with a Maxxon Underlayment.  The Acousti‑Mat LP is permanently encased in the underlayment, so when the floor goods are changed, the sound control system remains intact. With this application, the Acousti-Mat LP system can meet the 50 IIC sound control rating required by the International Building Code, before any floor goods are installed. Acousti-Mat LP achieves a Delta IIC of 19, that’s approximately a 75% reduction in impact noise on concrete floor systems.

Acousti-Mat LPRlogo_maxxon_leaf_xsm

Acousti-Mat® LPR is an mesh of entangled polymeric filaments attached to a unique blend of polymeric fibers of various shapes and sizes.  The blend of these fibers is a proprietary mix designed to provide excellent reductions in sound transmission and sound reflection.  The mat is bound together through a blend of polymer adhesives, which provide a tough durable mat with water repellant features.

Acousti‑Mat LPR can be attached to a concrete subfloor, then topped with a gypsum or self-leveling underlayment.  The Acousti‑Mat LPR is permanently encased in the underlayment, so when the floor goods are changed, the sound control system remains intact. With this application, the Acousti-Mat LPR system can meet the 50 IIC sound control rating required by the International Building Code before any floor goods are installed.
